GOOD FRIDAY’s Taize and labyrinth service at Bremerton United Methodist Church was beautiful. Rev. Dr. Sandy Bochonok described it as “... a tender time of deep listening and inner stillness, inviting a contemplative spaciousness and attentiveness to the spirit.”
HOLY SATURDAY, Rev. Max Lasfer of West Sound Unity Church carried the cross up the hill, saying later that it was a very special experience for him. I’ll post his reflections below when I get them.
EASTER SUNDAY was rainy and blustery; service was held inside the Miller Woodlawn chapel. Judi Batschi played Amazing Grace for our prelude and postlude on her bagpipes, in her kilts; she was quite striking. Rev. Liz Stevens from the Kitsap Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Bremerton was our preacher, and she spoke powerfully.
Miller Woodlawn provided a pancake breakfast, free of charge, as they have done in the past. Many thanks for all your community work!
